Shared Commands
Install slash commands other people shared, publish your own to the public gallery or by unlisted link, and push updates to everyone who installed them.
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Shared commands let you pass a slash command to anyone, inside or outside your team. Each one lives at a link on snutils.com, so people who install it see who made it and get your updates when you publish a new version.
Browse what others shared in the shared command gallery.
Installing a shared command
- Open the command's page on snutils.com, from the gallery or from a link someone sent you.
- Check the URL it opens. The page always shows it in full.
- Click Install in SN Utils. SN Utils opens its own confirmation tab with the same details.
- Confirm. The command is ready in the slash palette right away.
Installing needs no account. Free and Trial users can keep 5 shared commands active per browser; SN Utils Pro removes the limit. Your own commands, team commands and packs never count toward it.
Installed commands appear under Manage > Commands > Installed from links. From there you can remove one, apply an update, or choose which 5 stay active.
If you already have a command with the same name, yours wins. SN Utils warns you when a shared command has the same name as a built-in command.
Updates
When the author publishes a new version, SN Utils shows Update available next to the command. Nothing changes until you click Update, and you see the new URL before it applies.
Sharing your own commands (Pro)
SN Utils Pro users can share any URL command from the commands page on snutils.com. Click the share icon next to a command and choose:
| Option | Who can find it |
|---|---|
| Unlisted link | Only people who have the link. It is not searchable or indexed. |
| Public | Everyone. It appears in the gallery and in search engines, with your account name as author. |
An unlisted link is not a password. Anyone who has it can open it and forward it, so never share sensitive URLs this way.
After sharing, the command appears under Shared commands on the same page, with its link, version and install count.
- Publish new version sends your current edits to everyone who installed the command. They apply it when they choose.
- Delist removes the command from the gallery and blocks new installs. People who already installed it can keep using it.
- To move a public command to an unlisted link, delist it and share it again as unlisted. A command that was public may already have been copied or indexed, so it cannot become private afterwards.
Only URL commands can be shared. Script commands stay private or team-only. Command URLs must be instance paths or https links; javascript: is only allowed inside filters for helpers such as gs.getUserID(), getMyGroups() and date ranges.
If your Pro subscription ends, your links keep working for everyone who uses them. You can still delist them, but you cannot share new commands or publish new versions.
Reporting and revocation
Every command page has a Report this command link. The SN Utils team reviews reports and can revoke a command. Revoked commands are disabled for everyone who installed them the next time SN Utils checks for updates, which needs the browser to be online.
Limits
- Shared commands install in the SN Utils extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Safari and the version from GitHub do not support them.
- Sharing is limited to 10 public commands, 25 unlisted links and 20 new versions per day.
